A couple of pictures for you today. The first came via Twitter and is a collection of pie charts, graphs and flow diagrams that are all really funny. I especially like the Pac Man ones!
The second is someone messing with their local paper, by placing a whole sequence of advertisements for parts of a bear. Yes, a bear. Bear claws, feet, eyes, tail, nose… and so on. Apparently, the newspaper’s classified section is automated.
Quite possibly the cutest thing you’ll see this month (or year), this video has a really dodgy title about a Wolfman and cub. It sounds like some kind of B-movie trailer or something, but in fact it’s a guy who’s hand-rearing a wolf cub. And this is him teaching the little fella to howl. One, two, three… AWWWWW!!
This is brilliant. It’s a song by a group called Sour, called “Hibi no Neiro”. They translate that as “tone of everyday” (I guess “everyday feeling” or something). It was filmed entirely with webcams and the people in it are Sour fans. It must have taken an awful lot of effort and coordination to do some of the stuff they do (especially the mash-up faces).
Genius use of webcams, though. Enjoy it - it’s great!
Oh my. I just saw this up on Gimundo and thought “that sounds geeky and cool”. Little did I suspect that it would be such a well-made, beautiful short… that actually moved me to a tear or three at the end. It’s really touching.
Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth Of July weekend, out celebrating the USA’s birthday with friends and family. If you were watching fireworks, then I hope you weren’t doing something as stupid as this guy. Given that doing this is so incredibly dumb, my guess is that the firework not only exploded, er… “down there”, but also blew his brains out. They certainly aren’t in his head.
(Be warned: there’s some strong language in there. NSFW on that count.)
This is really good fun: Big Buck Bunny. He’s a gigantic, friendly rabbit who flips out when he sees a butterfly mistreated by some other animals… so he turns into Rambo and gets his revenge in true cartoon fashion!
