April Fool’s Jokes
Just a couple of links to posts that had me chuckling today, ahead of April Fool’s day (and hopefully the end of all the Conficker scaremongering):
Enjoy!

Just a quick post for the moment, since I saw this and it REALLY made my man laugh. It’s a little comic diagram of how the HR department and the IT department judge resumes from people applying for jobs. Brilliant!

Just for a change, I thought I’d find something musical - maybe because my man and I spent over an hour last night laughing ourselves silly playing the piano together and trying to figure out tunes and stuff.
So, to begin with, one that can’t be embedded (by request): the “If I Were Gay” song. Brilliant!
Next, one that my man says is funny (he’s an IT geek, what do you expect?)
The third one is a creative commons song, filmed by the amazing Mike Spiff Booth (spiffworld) in World of Warcraft. I loved this game when my bloke (he’s my code monkey) played it - beautiful scenery. This song’s really sweet, too.

I keep finding lots of lists of funny things people have said on TV, but I can never find any video of it - and it’s just not as funny seeing it in words for the fiftieth time. So I went looking for some bloopers today. I couldn’t find any good ones, but I did find a lot of really good hidden camera videos instead!
The first two are safe for work, but the other ones aren’t. The last one is actually just audio - but WHAT a surprise ending… OMG, I don’t even want to know how that worked out.
Have a laugh!

Another really good site for funny stuff today: this one’s called Innocent English and has masses of great content. There’s bad signs, funny videos, lists, jokes, bad English usage and all sorts of stuff to keep you laughing for a few hours!
There’s also the most beautiful video I’ve seen in ages on the site - well, a link to the YouTube video, anyway. It’s some dolphins in their tank. No big deal, right? Well, one of them makes air-bubble rings and plays with them! It’s incredible: the purity, innocence and playfulness of these animals is an inspiration. How can anyone feel bad after watching this?

An amazing piece of work for you today, which my man got in his blog feed subscriptions. It’s a little video of action dolls (or whatever you want to call those famous-people-in-toy-form things) fighting.
The amount of effort that must have gone into this is enormous. The movements are really well done, with little touches like when Bruce Lee gets up after being thrown against the wall: a quick wipe of the nose and he’s ready to fight again. It’s amazing how much talent is out there producing great fun stuff!
Enjoy it!

I quite like some sports, but not football or rugby. Well, I like the sports - I just don’t like the men who get drunk and noisy when they watch them! Anyway, today I found a couple of videos for the sporty people out there.
The first one is some lucky goals in football - the last one is incredible! I’ll bet the team were happy it finally went in.
The second one my man knew about and found for me. It’s brilliant: a ping pong game done in the style of the Matrix. You might already have seen it, but it’s worth another look!

My previous post with the funny ads was really popular, so I thought I’d find some more. There’s a lot of sites out there with some really good fake ads that have been created by Photoshoppers, but today I thought I’d post this one. It’s a site that has a ton of great videos instead of just pictures, with everything from hilarious ads to banned commercials (or ones that were tried and considered a bad idea).
It’s called Funny Commercials and the video above is from there. Enjoy it!

I just found this site by accident (not fail!). It’s great: users submit bad ideas, bad signs and even some videos of people making really bad decisions. It looks like it’s updated pretty often, too. The man at the service station is unbelievable…
Drop in and have a look.

These had me laughing: they’re the 20 most ridiculous complaints made by tourists when they return from holiday. They range from people complaining that there’s no air conditioning outside to blaming a company for an unexpected pregnancy! My favourite, though, has to be the one about the topless beach. Brilliant!
And if you like that one, there’s a teeny tiny link over on the right to the 20 stupidest questions asked by tourists: hehehe! So tell me, are there any lakes in the Lake District?
